MANILA, Philippines—Outgoing President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo will take her oath before Associate Justice Antonio Eduardo Nachura as new representative of Pampanga’s second district.
“I am honored and privileged when she chose me to administer her oath,” said Nachura, who took his oath of office as Associate Justice of the Supreme Court before Arroyo in February 2007.
Nachura was an Arroyo-appointee Solicitor-General before becoming a member of the high tribunal.
Arroyo will be sworn into office in her hometown Pampanga when her term as president ends on June 30.
